OLDE GREENWICH COMMUNITY NEWSLETTER—SUMMER 2008

House surveys are still on-going.  Please pay attention to yours and make sure the violations are corrected.  If there are any questions, please call 540-891-5561.

The pool will not open on Memorial Day Weekend.  We are hoping that it will open the weekend of May 31, 2008, thanks to a home owner that has volunteered his time and knowledge to replace the pump, filter and all other plumbing, free of charge. Pool applications may be picked up at the office (anytime) or pool (upon opening).

TRASH IS TO BE SET OUT FRONT ON THE EVE OF TRASH PICK-UP ONLY!  NO EXCEPTIONS!!!!!! There are to be NO trash cans left out front (or behind the front bushes) after the trash has been picked-up. There are to be NO trash bags or trash cans stored in the front yard.  $50.00 on-the-spot fines will continue to be issued if this problem is not corrected.

IT’S THAT TIME AGAIN!!  GRASS NEEDS TO BE CUT AND MAINTAINED PER THE RULES AND REGULATIONS!!  Don’t forget about the utility easement (usually 7-1/2 feet) located behind your property (fence).  This too must be kept maintained by the property owner or renter.  There will be one “warning” issued and then an immediate $50.00 fine.

Now that it is getting warmer, please remember that all common areas close at DARK.  Young children (12 and under) MUST be supervised when on common grounds, NO EXCEPTIONS!!!  It is not the responsibility of other property owners to watch these small children that are just out and about with no supervision.

ONCE AGAIN, THERE IS NO BALL PLAYING, THROWING, KICKING, TOSSING, BOUNCING, OR ANYTHING ELSE YOU CAN DO WITH A BALL, IN THE PARKING AREAS!!!!!  If you want to play with a ball, you must do it in your own yard or in one of the large, opened common ground areas.  Parents are responsible for any damages done to vehicles by their children – this can be very expensive.

Please remember that when outside washing your vehicle or cleaning up, everyone does not want to hear your music!!!  KEEP IT DOWN!!!!  This also includes turning the music down in your vehicle when entering the community.

If you own or ride a motorcycle, please remember that they are very loud.  Let’s be considerate of neighbors who may be sleeping in or home during the day sleeping due to their work schedule.  Please do not “rev-up” the engine when starting the bike or leaving the community.

HAVE A GREAT SUMMER!!!!
